Naam Is the True Medicine
Bhagat Bhikhan Ji was a deeply spiritual saint who spent his life in devotion and remembrance of God.
As he grew older, his body became weak. His eyes watered, his hair turned white, his throat became weak, and he experienced pain in his body.
Bhagat Bhikhan Ji realized that no worldly medicine could remove the deeper suffering and attachment of life.
He prayed:
“O God, You become my physician and save me.”
Through his devotion, he understood that the greatest medicine is Naam — remembrance of the Divine.
He taught:
“The Name of God is the pure, life-giving medicine for the world.”
With continuous remembrance of God, Bhagat Bhikhan Ji experienced such peace that he declared:
“Wherever I look, I see the Divine.”
The body will grow old, but the soul can remain connected to God.
Naam is the medicine that brings peace to the mind and connects us with the Divine.
